Web Developer | Music Lover | Guitar strummer
Hi, I'm Fiona!
I love to program, listen to music and play guitar.
With a background in audio engineering and technical support roles in Audio Visual and IT, I enjoy working as part of a team to troubleshoot issues and solve problems. In these roles I had exposure to development teams and this sparked my curiosity in web development.
I wanted to move into a role where I could combine my troubleshooting and problem solving skills with creativity, and web development checks those boxes for me. I enrolled in the 12 week Web Development Immersive program at General Assembly in March this year, and completed in June.
My favourite parts of web development are working on the functionality and logic of a web application, working with API's and databases. This is because I find it interesting to learn how applications work behind the scenes.
If you have any development opportunities give me a call, or shoot me through an email!
A social media app that matches people based on gigs they have attended. Utilising the setlistfm api, members search and add gigs to their profile. They can then connect with other members that attended the same gig, via instant message.
A group project where we created a solution to help tackle food wastage in the community.
Using geolocation, members can search for available food items around them. Members can message each other to arrange collection.
My first full stack app, Odio brings together new audio engineers looking for experience, and new artists that want recording experience and a free demo.
Artists can book in an engineer to record them. They can also provide a rating via an upvote to their engineer.
My first project at General Assembly
A politically themed tic tac toe, where Clinton still has a chance of winning.
This is a 2 player game, where wins are tallied, until either player chooses to quit.
